Announcements: Week 20 - March 15 - March 19, 2026 

Dancero (“Dancing Among our Stars”)

  • March 28th - online ticket sales close March 22!  
  • A few days after registering you will receive an e-mail with your ticket and a QR code.  Either print it out and bring it with you or have the email with your QR code ready at the door upon entry.
  • Location: TCU Place; Cost: $45 members; $40 Student Members; $60 Non-members
  • Doors open: 6:30pm; Awards: 7:15pm - 7:45pm; Dancing 7:45pm-11:30pm 
  • At-the-door tickets available for a $5 upcharge.
  • Of note - We will be video recording at Dancero for promotional purposes - there will be an ‘opt-out’ option for those who do not wish to be videoed.  Email marketing@uofsbdc.ca if you have any questions.

Musicality Classes - FREE - only one more session on March 18th!

  • “From Beat to Ballroom”
  • Drop-in mini-series on musicality basics (taught by Gillian).
  • Grosvenor Park United Church at 7:45pm
  • No registration or partner required.

Dance Feedback Survey 

  • The executive wants Membership feedback on the decision to have no dinner at Dancero & dances in general  to help decide what to do for upcoming years.
  • The QR code was emailed to you on March 9th.  If you did not receive this please email: marketing@uofsbdc.ca 
  • There is a QR code at each location that when scanned will take you to a google form survey. Please fill this out at the end of class.
  • Costs for TCU have risen significantly over the last few years (Dinner is $75 per person), ticket prices would have to rise to approximately $100 in order to cover the costs of the event.

  • Workshop: Sunday, March 29th, from 12:00–4:00pm at Grosvenor Park United Church, led by our Principal Instructor, Michael Milette.

 Line Dance Class

  • WED MARCH 18th: Beginner-Level Line Dance to “A Bar Song - (Tipsy)” by Shaboozy (choreographed by Ben Murphy) 
  • ALSO - a detailed review on Line Dance “Footloose” as this will be played at Dancero 
  • St. Joe’s Hall (8:15pm-9:15pm); $15 drop in fee

Tuesday Summer Practice Sessions: April 7th - August 25th, 2026 

  • Every Tuesday @ 7:30pm - 9:00pm (run by Gee and Tanya D)
  • $5 for everyone (non-members encouraged!)
  • Location: Dance Ink located at 817 29th St W. (Corner of 29th and Ave I North, behind Westmount Foods convenience store
  • Access: back of the building, purple door closest to Ave I.N., down the stairs
