Welcome to Our Club

We’re so excited to kick off another year of dancing with you at the University of Saskatchewan Ballroom Dancing Club! Whether you’re brand new or have been with us for years, we’re thrilled you’re here.

Ballroom dancing is for everyone—no partner or experience needed. Our classes are all about learning new moves, meeting new people, and having fun.

A few quick reminders:

  • Bring clean shoes: Please wear clean, non-marking shoes indoors only. This keeps the floor safe for everyone (and helps your dance shoes last longer!).
  • Skip the scents: Some members are sensitive to perfumes and colognes, so please avoid wearing them to class.
  • Our instructors are volunteers: They’re here because they love dance and want to share it with you. Be kind and patient—with yourself and with others.
  • Missed a class? Don’t stress! Just jump back in next week. Instructors can help you catch up, and you’ll keep learning as you go.

Volunteering with the Club

Our club runs on volunteer power, and we’d love your help! Volunteers pitch in with setup, registration, decorating, and making events extra welcoming.

Upcoming volunteer opportunities:

  • Term 1 Workshop – Saturday, October 11 at Lakeview Church Gym
  • Harvest Swing Dance – Saturday, October 25

Volunteer perks:

  • 6+ hours = early class registration plus a free monthly dance ticket
  • Sometimes we have surprise bonus perks too!
